How are we different from the rest?


Mainstreet has been a leading provider for software, training, consulting and support services for a number of years. What has contributed to this success...and how are we different from the rest?


We work very closely with our customers...

To develop our software and our support services, Mainstreet looks to our customers who are using the system to let us know what is needed...what would be helpful...and in turn is constantly on the lookout for new technology that can benefit our customers. New ideas are encouraged and communication is constant through telephone discussions, meetings, correspondence and newsletters.


We are not mass marketers...

From our work with a wide variety of sizes and computer expertise, Mainstreet knows that most businesses need and value the personal touch. When you need support, there is quickly available a well-trained knowledgeable person to help. If you have a good idea, it can be added...you are not locked into a take-it-or-leave-it package. Mainstreet does not use voice-mail or put you through a priority process to handle support. For off-business hours, we carry mobile phones and can also arrange for phone-ins.


We believe in and practice on-going training and support...

Training begins before the initial installation and continues through all the years that follow. It extends beyond the software application to many other related areas such as equipment, networks, backup systems, electrical power issues...and how to use your computer to help your business succeed. Through telephone support, on-site visits, newsletters, meetings and workshops, training is an on-going process.


We have the strongest support program in the industry...

The key element in the support program is the strong, well-trained staff who combines expertise and experience with both the business world and the electronic world of design, programming, equipment, networks and communications. In addition, there is a very active user group program of support, enhancements, and other services.


Customization and on-site services are also available...

Although Mainstreet encourages the user group concept of shared ideas and funding for system upgrades, it also continues to offer customization for those that wish to have special features. Unlike most of its competitors, Mainstreet also has available sufficient staff to offer on-site training and support for both software and hardware.


Why do so many labs choose DentaLab?

"I have been on the hunt for a new laboratory software program probably for the past 2 years. Now that my partner has retired I can now make it happen. We have used a custom program written just for our lab since 1979. Yes, it was state of the art then, but now it feels quite inadequate to me. We started using QuickBooks in 2005 and I really like itís simple, easy to learn accounting methods, it works.


When I found an article about DentaLab for QuickBooks I quickly contacted Elaine at Mainstreet and drove to their office with my laptop in hand, our current programs inefficiencies written down, and 3 pages of my wishes, oh, and my wife as well who has no dental lab understanding.


Needless to say I was sold and my wife as well since it made clear sense and that she was even able to follow some of the steps involved in entering the work. Nathan was able to customize our work ticket right away to help me sell it to my office staff, this proving to be more of a challenge then I ever would have expected. Even though our old system had many inefficiencies, they still knew it well and were too comfortable with its use.


I purchased DentaLab for QuickBooks, had Nathan spend 2 days in lab, and had all of them sold, even my ex-partner. Nathan is a tremendous help on the telephone and very calming to the nervousness of my staff. We are using the program now and are able to easily navigate thru it and make adjustments as needed.
